Xarxa d’estacions costaneres, boies oceanogràfiques, estacions del nivell del mar i estacions meteorològiques
La Instal·lació de Plataformes Fixes de la ICTS SOCIB està formada per una xarxa d'estacions costaneres, boies oceanogràfiques, estacions del nivell del mar i estacions meteorològiques.
Estacions del nivell del mar
Les estacions del nivell de mar proporcionen mesuraments del nivell del mar amb l'objectiu d'obtenir sèries temporals d'alta resolució de variació del nivell del mar en diferents punts d'interès, per analitzar-los posteriorment.
Estacions costaneres
Les estacions costaneres permeten obtenir dades en temps real de variables meteorològiques i imatges de la costa, així com informació de l’onatge i els corrents en aigües poc profundes.
Boies oceanogràfiques
Les boies oceanogràfiques instal·lades desplegades en aigües obertes mesuren paràmetres meteorològics i oceanogràfics de gran interès, com els corrents marins, la temperatura de l'aigua i l'onatge, entre d'altres, i proporcionen dades en temps real. A més, amb base en sèries temporals de dades, aquesta informació permet analitzar esdeveniments passats i fer prediccions.
Estacions meteorològiques
Les estacions meteorològiques mesuren, registren i transmeten contínuament diverses variables meteorològiques per tal de conèixer les condicions meteorològiques i ajudar els models numèrics a la predicció, o per elaborar estudis específics relacionats amb la investigació costanera.
